Colour Balance Introduction - Trees

Original

Edit

Colour balance works on the principle of the colour wheel. If your photograph has a colour cast, you need to add more of it's opposite tone to cancel out the shade, and in effect, balance the colour.

The above photograph had a cyan colour cast and so on the colour balance tool the slider needed to be dragged towards red so move of the opposite tone was added to counteract this. The bottom edited version shows a far better balanced tonal range.
